In may 2018, the 101st Giro d'Italia started from the unusual landscapes of Israel, beginning with the first stage in Jerusalem for a individual time trial, to run then along the coasts between Haifa and Tel Aviv (167 km), reaching then the Negev desert in the third stage
(Be'er Sheva - Eilat, 229 km), before moving to Italy.
The photographic coverage of this first threee stages, in their variety of landscapes and conditions, has been realized for the italian magazine Bicitech.
